FOOTHILLS ART CENTER
Located in historic downtown Golden, Foothills Art Center leads and inspires the community through art, education, and cultural excellence with engaging exhibitions and dynamic arts programming for learners of all ages. Foothills Art Center was founded in 1968 and is an official member of the United States National Registry of Historic Buildings. The center is housed in an 1872 Gothic-style church, an 1892 Queen Anne style manse and a Victorian-era mansion built in 1899 – all surrounded by a sculpture garden at 809 15th Street in downtown Golden, Colorado.
SPIRITS IN THE WIND GALLERY
Spirits in the Wind Gallery is a showcase for premier art of the New West yet it fits perfectly into the historic atmosphere of Golden. Truly one of the finest western galleries in Colorado, their gallery features work by national and local artists in a variety of mediums. Located in the heart of downtown at 1211 Washington Avenue, you'll find quality merchandise for the discriminating buyer including pottery, sculpture, home decor and outdoor art.
The Bradford Washburn American Mountaineering Museum is America’s first and only museum dedicated to the heroism, technology, culture, and spirit of mountaineering. While you're visiting, check out the different routes on the Mount Everest scale model!
THE GOLDEN HISTORY MUSEUM & PARK
The Golden History Museum is a warm, welcoming, and vibrant public space for uncovering and sharing Golden’s past. The museum features a research center, a dynamic hands-on gallery for families with young children, and exhibits that highlight the City’s collection of historic objects. With the vision of “always something new to discover,” the museum brings the typically behind-the-scenes practices of object discovery and preservation to the front of the house. Free admission!
GOLDEN HISTORY PARK
What was it like for early ranchers and farmers in the area? Get a taste of tough pioneer life at the History Park. View the old cabins, feed the flock of heirloom chickens, and take a selfie in front of the one-room schoolhouse.

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum gives visitors the chance to explore the scope of quilting, from bed coverings of the 1800s to contemporary art pieces. The museum hosts quarterly exhibits, tailored tours, and programs for adults and youth.
